Policies & Procedures

    

The Southern Crescent Tour herein referred to as Southern Crescent Tour, SCT, Crescent Tour, etc. are the property of High Score Media Group, LLC and may not be used without the express written consent of High Score Media Group, LLC.  Any logo, pictures, web text, written promotion, video promotion, or any other intelligence or marketing of the Southern Crescent Tour are the sole property of High Score Media Group, LLC.

     The Southern Crescent Tour is a for-profit organization intended to support the growth of amateur golf and provide competitions for amateurs held at cooperating golf courses under agreements between said golf courses or owning entities and Southern Crescent Tour.

 

Registration

·         Registration for play of any event offered by the Southern Crescent Tour may be secured either by visiting the Southern Crescent Tour web site Home page at www.sctour2010.com, or forward payment in full by money order or certified check to Southern Crescent Tour, PO Box 71804 Newnan, Georgia 30271.

·         Each event of the Southern Crescent Tour will have a registration for play fee that may vary depending upon the event. Registration fees may from time to time be discounted. Registration based on discounting must be noted on individual registration application and discount coupon or discount account code must be provided at time of registration. Should discount number or code not be provided at time of registration, then application for play will be charged at the full amount designated for that event.

·         Registration for events may be made for more than one event per registration. Multiple event registration requires payment in full for each and all events registered.

·         Any returned funds, denied credit cards, debit card fraud or other inabilities to process payment intended for registration of a Southern Crescent Tour event, is the sole responsibility of the registrant. High Score Media Group, LLC will seek any charges or damages related to said inabilities of payment.

·         Registration may be cancelled up to 72 hours prior to the scheduled date of the event with no penalty. From 72 hours to 24 hours prior to an event, cancellation of registration will be allowed but penalized a late cancellation fee of $25.00 dollars. Cancellation or “no-show” on date of event will be penalized the entire registration fee. Appeals for cancellation without penalty may be made to Southern Crescent Tour administration.

·         Registration the day of an event is possible. Registration fee will include the base play fee plus $25.00. Onsite registration payment may be made by cash or check. No credit cards or debit cards will be accepted. In event of returned checks, a redeposit process fee of $25.00 will apply. The Southern Crescent Tour may deny any player from registration, for reason of insufficient payment.

·         Southern Crescent Tour registration may include a waiver by player, allowing the tour to use their name and likeness for promotion, advertisement, web post by tour, or other media venues that may benefit the Southern Crescent Tour. Each player may elect to accept or decline waiver. Each player accepting said waiver may also be asked to participate with promotion, advertisement, media processes; therefore, said player agrees to support said activities without claims or demands.

 

Postponements/Cancellations

·         The Southern Crescent Tour is not responsible for any postponements, cancellations or rescheduled events, due to weather or other catastrophic events, outside the control of the tour organizers. Should scheduled events be postponed, rescheduled or cancelled, the Southern Crescent Tour will make every attempt to provide an equivalent event to that of the event affected. In the circumstance that an event cannot be rescheduled, any registrant having secured playing privileges via payment of a registration fee may use said fee as entry registration for a future event.

 

Golf Course/Vendors

·         The Southern Crescent Tour Organizers, Volunteers and Registered Players agree to participate in said amateur events while adhering to the policies and guidelines of the golf course or owning entities.

·         Players on the Southern Crescent Tour are solely responsible for any damages, abuse, or mistreatment of any material, grounds, equipment or other property of those golf courses contracted. The Southern Crescent Tour defers all responsibility. Therefore any actions between said players and said golf courses are between the responsible parties and in no way include the Southern Crescent Tour or High Score Media Group, LLC.

·         Whenever possible, the Southern Crescent Tour will schedule manufacturer displays for the enjoyment of players. These demonstrations are managed by the individual corporations invited by Southern Crescent Tour. The Southern Crescent Tour is not responsible for the material or personnel performance during the demonstrations. Any claims or complaints are the responsibility of the demonstrating company and player.

·         Whenever possible, Southern Crescent Tour will organize discounts or packages for players, associated with lodging, food, equipment, etc. At no time is the Southern Crescent Tour responsible for final delivery of said discounts or package offers. Individual discounts or packages are the responsibility of the offering company.

 

Rules

·         Southern Crescent Tour plans to treat each venue and event as a premier golf experience. Registration, adherence to tee time, proper scoring, scoring validation, course etiquette, USGA rules compliance, are the absolute responsibility of each player.

·         Caddies are allowed. Only one space in cart is designated per Player, therefore either Player or Caddie can ride cart. Extra carts will not be supplied for Caddies.

·         Alcohol Purchase/Use will be determined by the rules of the local Golf Club. A player may be warned one time for excessive use, or actions due to excessive use. After the first warning, the player will be removed from competition, disqualified, and no points will be rewarded.

·         Mobile Phones are to be silent or turned off during play. A competitor must respect their fellow golfers and pace of play. A player may be warned one time. After the first warning, the player will be asked to remove the item or withdraw from play. If the player withdraws, no points will be awarded.

·         Dress Code will include no Denim. Shorts may be worn, if Bermuda length. Collared Shirts and Soft Spikes are required at all events and practice rounds.

·         Southern Crescent Tour will work with local PGA professionals in compliance with USGA playing rules of Golf, in-order to address any and all issues that may arise during an event. Rulings by the Southern Crescent Tour and the on-site PGA professional are final. Appeals of any sort may be filed with the Southern Crescent Tour. Southern Crescent Tour in conjunction with the USGA and PGA organizations will confer and rule on any appeal.

·         The Southern Crescent Tour is an amateur series of events, in that no handicapping will be considered toward any play pairings or outcomes. Each event is stroke play unless an event is designated otherwise. The Southern Crescent Tour may develop other formats for events in which certain players may be encouraged to participate. Play in these events may be limited and restricted. Southern Crescent Tour does not obligate itself nor any other entity as to the players encouraged to participate.

 

Scoring

     The Southern Crescent Tour is operated to provide amateur golfers the opportunity to display individual playing skills in competition with like experience levels.

     The Southern Crescent Tour will make every attempt to provide quality golf courses and ensure the course conditions and set-up is so the amateur player will enjoy their participation and desire to continue their support of the tour. Players of the Southern Crescent Tour will benefit on several levels. Player participation, finish and number of rounds played will each be identified by the Southern Crescent Tour “Player Point System”.

     The Southern Crescent Tour will provide a “Championship” that will involve two days of stroke play involving representatives of six divisions of players. The Championship will identify those amateur players that not only play their best over months of participation at SCT events but also either win or place extremely well during the season or Championship.

 

Player Point System

Per Division

·         Event Champion – 500 Points

·         Second Place – 300 Points

·         Third Place – 200 Points

·         Fourth Place – 150 Points

·         Remaining Finishers – 100 Points

·         Disqualification Or Withdrawal Awarded -0- Points

 

Multiple Event Participation:

·         3 Events = 300 Points (Bonus)

·         5 Events = 500 Points (Total Bonus)

·         7 Events = 700 Points (Total Bonus)

 

Division Champion Automatically Qualifies For Grand Championship

 

Grand Championship – Division Fields

·         Men (0-9 HDCP) – 25 Players

·         Men (10-19 HDCP) – 25 Players

·         Men (20-36 HDCP) – 25 Players

 

·         Senior Men (0-9 HDCP) – 25 Players

·         Senior Men (10-19 HDCP) – 25 Players

·         Senior Men (20-36 HDCP) – 25 Players

 

Grand Championship Point System – Per Division

·         Event Champion – 2,000 Points

·         Second Place – 1,500 Points

·         Third Place – 1,000 Points

·         Fourth Place – 750 Points

·         Remaining Finishers – 500 Points

 

Southern Crescent Tour Division “Grand Champion” Will Be Designated By Tour Series Player Point Totals.
